Cathy
Hutzler, (a.k.a. “CAT”) is a Dallas based artist and graphic designer.
CAT is short for Creative, Award-winning Talent, and oh yea, her first name!
Since 2002, Cat has spent her work days moving up the design ranks at Beckett
Media, a leading publisher of sports collectibles and gaming magazines. Currently,
she is Art Director for the basketball group, leading the creative efforts for
four magazine titles, two annual books and various special projects including
digital media.
Energetic and always looking to expand her skills, Cat launched her own design
company in 2003, aptly named Purrsnickitty Design, because of her creative attention
to detail.
Cat’s portfolio and design skills are as vast as the outdoors—we
can say that because she designed advertising billboards for Clear Channel Outdoor
before joining Beckett Media.
Cat’s client list is pretty impressive, too, having worked with Pepsi,
And 1, The National Hockey League, The Heisman Winners Association and The NBA.
Originally from San Antonio, Cat graduated with honors from Stephen F. Austin
University with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising Design.
In her spare time, Cat loves sports, travel and is an avid mountain biker. And
despite the pressure of living in Dallas and working with a bunch of basketball
geeks, Cat still cheers for her hometown Spurs.
